What is the purpose of Funds4Books?
Funds4Books.com is a web-based fundraising platform provided by Mackin Educational Resources to help libraries and classrooms obtain much needed books, ebooks, online databases, DVDs, educational software, and more.

How will my donation be used?
Donations will help purchase up-to-date resources necessary to support academic achievement. Mackin delivers the materials ready for libraries and classrooms to distribute to patrons and students. Each participating library or classroom may describe a specific goal or focus on its Funds4Books webpage.

What is the minimum donation?
The minimum online donation Funds4Books.com can accept is $10. However, some Funds4Books participants may request a higher minimum for their particular program or fundraiser. Donations are non-refundable.

What credit cards are accepted?
Funds4Books accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover. You may also submit an electronic check.

How do I know your credit card site is secure?
Funds4Books donations are made via our secure credit-card-processing partner, Authorize.net, which uses the latest encryption technologies to keep your account information safe.

When are online transactions processed?
Credit cards and electronic checks are processed immediately. If submitting a check, processing time will vary depending on delivery to our offices.

How do I know the credit card charge or electronic check was processed successfully?
You receive a receipt online immediately after we process your transaction. If an email address is entered, you’ll also receive confirmation via email that your account has been charged. Look for "Funds4Books.com" on your credit card or bank statement. If a transaction is declined, you’ll receive an error message. Check the information entered and make corrections before resubmitting. Contact your credit card or banking institution if you receive another error message.

If I choose to make a donation by personal check, where should I mail it?
Donation check should be made out to Funds4Books.com, with the code in the memo line, and mailed to:

Can I make an anonymous donation?
Yes, anonymous donations are accepted. You may click the “Remain Anonymous” checkbox in the Donor Information section to prevent the sponsoring school or organization from viewing your personal information. Credit card information is captured for processing purposes only.


Are donations tax-deductible?
Donations to public schools, private non-profit schools and charitable foundations for the purchase of educational materials are tax deductible under 170c1 and/or 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Seek assistance from a tax consultant regarding income tax deductions.

Can I obtain a receipt for my donation?
Yes, anyone who donates, regardless of the amount, will receive a receipt if a valid email address is provided. 

Will Funds4Books accept a check from a business, PTO or other organization?
Yes, we accept checks from businesses and organizations. Please follow the same information as needed on personal checks.

Will Funds4Books accept matching gifts?
Yes, we accept matching gifts from employers, businesses, and other organizations. Please notify info@funds4books.com if copies of receipts are needed.

Can I specify what books will be purchased with my donation?
Though your school webpage may indicate a focus on specific types of materials or areas of need, it is the responsibility of school educators to select appropriate materials for your school.

How can I tell others about my school's fundraiser?
After you complete your donation, you have the option of sending a donation invitation to friends and family. You may also distribute the fundraiser code and Funds4Books website to whomever wishes to contribute. Your school may also have information on its website.

Who can I contact if I need assistance?
